The American Society of Craniofacial Surgeons is very aware of the concerns with the potential spread of the coronavirus, and our team and leadership are closely monitoring the situation on a daily basis. We are dedicated to providing regular updates to our members and attendees.

The ASCFS Annual Meeting of the Society is currently slated to take place as scheduled from April 2-4 in Portland, Oregon, as part of the ACPA Annual Meeting.

We are monitoring the evolving situation on a daily basis, and reviewing all updates and recommendations from both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Attendees and exhibitors from affected regions who are now unable to attend due to travel restrictions here in the US or in other countries will be accommodated. We appreciate their adherence to the travel advisories and restrictions. We encourage all of our attendees and members to follow CDC and WHO recommendations for protecting oneself, and others, from infection.

We emphasize that the ASCFS places the health, well-being and safety of our members and attendees as our top priority. Our team is working closely with ACPA and the Portland Hilton to ensure that full precautions to provide a safe and healthy environment for all attendees are implemented. This includes increased hand-sanitizing stations, and engaging in enhanced cleaning and disinfection processes throughout the venue. Awareness and health recommendations from agencies will be publicized onsite.

Our thoughts are with those who have been impacted by the COVID-19 virus, and we will continue to provide relevant updates and new information whenever possible.
